Welcome to Psychiatry Training UK Website
Welcome to Psychiatry Training UK, a blog dedicated to helping medical professionals navigate the psychiatry training pathways in the UK. As a practicing Psychiatrist, I have created this resource to guide junior doctors on their journey to becoming Psychiatrists and provide valuable resources to answer commonly asked questions.
For international medical graduates, understanding the training pathways in the UK can be daunting. That’s why I have made it my mission to help those looking to work and train in the UK by sharing my personal experience and insights. I hope to inspire the next generation of Psychiatrists and clarify pathways for those hoping to work and train in the UK.
Please note that the contents of my blog are based on my own experiences and should not replace official guidelines from the General Medical Council (GMC), Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych), or psychiatry recruitment teams. If you find any information conflicting with official guidance, please point it out and refer to official sources of information.
In addition to my own blogs, I also invite international doctors to share their experiences of securing jobs in the UK, passing exams, and other achievements. Together, we can build a supportive community of medical professionals and make the psychiatry training journey in the UK a little easier.
Thank you for visiting Psychiatry Training UK, and I hope you find this website useful on your journey to becoming a Psychiatrist in the UK.
